There is typically a speaking fee for Ms. Gruwell’s services. Freedom Writer Foundation books must be sold or available at all events. Proceeds from the sale of the books at Ms. Gruwell's events directly fund the Freedom Writers Foundation's programs. Event sponsors are also asked to cover any travel expenses required.
